In 1994, with the sun in Virgo, a small, magical child was born on a small island off the coast of New Jersey: Manhattan. Her name was Emily Peregrine Carter. She ignored her fate for twenty-odd years, instead working as a model and later working on reducing food waste and decarbonizing buildings. But the universe had other plans.
In her 25th year, her magical powers could no longer be ignored. They bubbled like a cauldron inside of her, spewing out of her like a colorful scarf with no end, or a rabbit in a hat. Emily, now better known as Ms. Direction, began committing herself to mischief, prestidigitation, and the dark arts. She poured over magic books, learned from teachers and mentors, and began performing.
Ms. Direction brings a fun and magnetic energy to her magic, adding an unforgettable cool factor to any event. She is a regular performer at The Magic Patio in San Francisco and is sought after for private events, birthdays, weddings, and corporate gatherings. She specializes in close-up, walk-around magic.
